Gates of Olympus 2500: Demo, RTP & Full South Africa Review

Gates of Olympus 2500 at a glance

Gates of Olympus 2500 is Pragmatic Play’s 2026 follow-up in the Zeus-themed Gates series. It keeps the familiar 6×5 Pay Anywhere format and tumbling wins, but pushes the multiplier mechanic as high as 2,500x and introduces four possible free-spins modes.

The game was released on 28 September 2026. SlotLaunch currently displays 96.50% on its demo listing. RTP can vary by configuration, so check the value shown in the active game before real-money play. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure, not a session promise.

BCSA’s demo integration lets South African players test the mechanics without staking real Rand. Demo credits have no cash value, but they are useful for learning how the tumbles, scatter trigger and multiplier collection behave before deciding whether to play for money.

How wins work

There are no fixed paylines. A win requires at least eight matching symbols anywhere on the 6×5 grid. Winning symbols disappear and new symbols tumble into their places, allowing more than one win from a single paid spin.

What does the 2,500x multiplier mean?

Multiplier symbols can land during tumbles in both the base game and bonus rounds. Pragmatic Play states that individual multiplier symbols can reach 2,500x. When multiple multipliers land on the same spin, their values are added together before being applied to the relevant win. A 2,500x multiplier is a feature value, not a promise of a 2,500x payout.

Four free-spins modes explained

Four or more scatter symbols trigger 15 free spins. Before the bonus begins, a wheel determines which of four modes is activated. Three or more scatters during the feature award five additional free spins.

Free Spins 1

Multipliers landing on winning spins are added to a running total before that total is applied to the win.

Free Spins 2

All multiplier symbols that land contribute to a running total, which is then applied to subsequent wins.

Super Free Spins

Both free-spins structures have a Super version. In these modes, Pragmatic Play increases the minimum multiplier value to 10x.

Gates of Olympus 2500 vs Gates of Olympus 1000

The biggest mistake is assuming 2500 is simply the same slot with a larger number in the title. The 2500 edition changes the bonus structure substantially by offering four possible free-spins modes and multipliers reaching 2,500x. Players who already know Gates of Olympus 1000 should therefore test the new demo rather than assuming the feature behaviour is identical.

Is Gates of Olympus 2500 worth trying?

For fans of the Gates series, the main attraction is the expanded multiplier and bonus system rather than a completely different core game. The demo is the sensible starting point because it makes the differences visible without risking money.

Responsible play

Slots are games of chance. RTP describes theoretical performance across a very large number of rounds and cannot predict a session. Set a budget before real-money play, never chase losses and treat gambling as paid entertainment rather than a way to make money. Gambling is for adults aged 18 and over in South Africa.
